Burren Slow Food Festival – Slow Food Clare

This year’s Burren Slow Food Festival will be online on Facebook under the theme “The Fertile Rock”. It will be a a virtual celebration of all that is local – foods, chefs and even music! The festival is organised in conjunction with the Burren Ecotourism Network who organised the filming and did a lot of the heavy lifting.

So how will this work?

Every night, at 7pm, Slow Food Clare and the Burren Ecotourism Network will host an event on their Facebook pages showing a chef and a food producer (or a distiller and a brewer in one case!) who talk about the foods used in a prepared dish. Each session is hosted by a member of the Burren Ecotourism Network in their own venue throughout the Burren, like the Doolin Inn in Doolin, or Gregans Castle Hotel in Ballyvaughan.

There will also be live traditional Irish music afterwards, so it will be very entertaining.

St. Tola’s Goats Cheese & The Wild Catering Company at the Doolin Cave
Burren Premium Beef & Anthony’s, Doolin Inn
the Burren Distillery & the Roadside Tavern
Flaggy Shore Oysters & Fiddle & Bow Hotel
Caherconnell Dairy Farm & Burren Gold Cheese at the Aillwee Cave
the Burren Smokehouse & Gregans Castle Hotel and Glas Restaurant, Doolin & Michael O’Connell, a lobster fisherman.
