The Slow Food Cooks Alliance is coming to Ireland!
If you (or anyone you know) are a cook/chef, restaurant, cafe or food truck and want to get involved please Contact Us.
What is it?
The Slow Food Cooks Alliance is a group of cooks/chefs who support artisan food producers everyday by using local artisan products in their kitchens. The cooks are requested to add the names of the producers to their menus, to give visibility to their work.
What do I get out of it?
- Use of the Slow Food Chef’s Alliance logo;
- A poster, with a message from Carlo Petrini, will be provided for display in your business;
- Listing on the Slow Food Ireland website and promotion on all our social media channels;
- Listing on the international Slow Food Foundation website.
See the link to the chefs already involved worldwide: https://www.fondazioneslowfood.com/en/slow-food-chefs-alliance/
How much is it?
NOTHING! Just your usual annual Slow Food membership fee.
Terra Madre/Salone del Gusto
2020 is the year of Terra Madre/Salone del Gusto, which normally takes place in Turin, Italy every two years. This year, along with many other events, it is going virtual and running from 8 October 2020 through to April 2021. As well as many virtual, online events, we are looking for restaurants/cafes etc who would be able to provide a “Slow Food Meal” during Terra Madre. Can you help? All events will be listed both nationally and internationally. I know international promotion of Terra Madre is probably of very little use to us in the current climate but, hopefully, it will reap rewards when travel fully reopens.
